This Week's Speaker at Clayton Ladue Rotary - Rep. Jake Zimmerman Dem. Canidate for St. Louis County Assessor

Rep. Jake Zimmerman is the Democratic party candidate for
St. Louis County Assessor. Jake was born and raised in St.
Louis County and went to Clayton High School. After college,
he won a Truman Scholarship that took him to Claremont
McKenna College. He then went on to Harvard Law School.
Upon returning to Missouri, he worked for Attorney General
Jay Nixon In 2006, Jake was elected to serve the people in the
Missouri State House. Jake lives in Olivette with his fiance Megan.

This Week's Speaker at Clayton Ladue Rotary - Missouri Attorney General, Chris Koster

Chris Koster was sworn in as Missouri’s 41st Attorney General
on January 12th, 2009. Since becoming Attorney General,
Koster has focused efforts on detecting and prosecuting
Medicaid fraud, pursuing mortgage-relief and debtsettlement
scams, cracking down on fraudulent auto service
contract businesses, using Missouri’s legal authority to
protect our water resources, and educating public officials
about their obligations under Missouri’s Sunshine Law.
Prior to being elected Attorney General, Mr. Koster served in
the Missouri Senate from 2004 to 2008, representing Cass,
Johnson, Bates, and Vernon counties. He previously served as
Cass County Prosecuting Attorney for ten years.

Mr. Koster was born and raised in St. Louis. He is a graduate
of the University of Missouri and the University of Missouri
School of Law. He also earned a Masters in Business
Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.

This Week's Speaker at Clayton Ladue Rotary - Olivia Lahs-Gonzales - Director of the Sheldon Art Galleries

Olivia Lahs-Gonzales was appointed to the position of director
of the Sheldon Art Galleries in St. Louis in October, 2001. At
the Sheldon she curates exhibitions, directs educational
programs, and assists in fundraising for six gallery spaces
devoted to photography, architecture, jazz history, St. Louis
artists and collections, children's art and all media. From
1992-2001 she worked at The Saint Louis Art Museum, most
recently as Assistant Curator of Prints, Drawings and
Photographs. She received her M.F.A. from Columbia College,
Chicago, where she worked at the Museum of Contemporary
Photography for three years as Curatorial Assistant and
Education Manager. She received her B.A. Honors from West
Surrey College of Art and Design, Farnham, Surrey England.
Lahs-Gonzales retains a specialization in photography, but has
also published on prints, drawings, painting and sculpture.
Publications and essays include Josephine Baker: Image and
Icon (2006); Candida Höfer (2005) My Nature: Works with
Paper by Kiki Smith (1999), Defining Eye: Women
Photographers of the 20th Century (1997), and Photography
in Modern Europe: The Spring 1996 Bulletin of The Saint Louis
Art Museum, Currents: 63 -Peter Fraser: Ice and Water
(1995), and Currents 81: Glenn Ligon (2000).
