independent, not-for-profit agency funded by

donations and committed to preventing child

abuse and neglect by providing short-term,

emergency shelter for children, birth through

age 12, whose families are faced with

emergencies or who are in crisis.

Joyce Johnston has been part of NAMI-St.Louis

since 1994, when she began receiving help for

her daughter who had been recently diagnosed

with a brain disorder. Joyce is a former member

of the NAMI-St. Louis Board of Directors and is

currently director of Programs and Accounting.

Sheis a peer-to-peer mentor and a state trainer.
